On the palate, this blend is full-bodied and expressive. Well-structured tannins provide an elegant mouthfeel, while notes of black berries and ripe fruit shape the flavour profile. The blend of Touriga Nacional (68%), Tinta Roriz (28%), Tinta Barocca (2%) and Tinta Amarella (2%) was matured for twelve months in French oak.
The unique climate of Calitzdorp, with warm days and cool nights, offers ideal conditions for Portuguese grape varieties - and this Red Blend is a fine example. Delicious on its own, it also pairs beautifully with red meat, game or spicy dishes.
