The Vrede en Lust Anni Sauvignon Blanc is a fresh and elegant white wine that delights with its beautiful and balanced aromas of green and yellow fruits such as apples, pears and lemons. The fruity nuances are underpinned by a hint of herbs and the finish adds a long-lasting mineral note. A small amount of Sémillon (8%) skilfully refines the uncomplicated Vrede en Lust Anni Sauvignon Blanc. Enjoy this white wine with light seafood dishes, poultry or pasta. But you should also try the Vrede en Lust Anni Sauvignon Blanc on its own.

Vrede en Lust – run by the Family Buys

Since 1996, the family Buys runs Vrede en Lust with a constantly growing success. The Buys are the 17th owner of the estate already, but it was them that have given the winery the required consistency and quality that have made it one of the most beautiful and interesting ones in the whole of South Africa. After an extensive renovation and conversion, Vrede en Lust can finally realise its full potential and has been doing exactly that for some years now. Susan Erasmus, one of the few female winemakers in South Africa, has managed for eleven years that Vrede en Lust is now a permanent part of the elite of South African wineries due to her perfectionist approach. Karlin Nel who has been Susan Erasmus’ assistant took over the position as head winemaker in the youthful age of 26 years in autumn 2017.

Breathtaking Location and emotional Wine

Vrede en Lust benefits from its breathtaking location in the Franschhoek valley. In the middle of the mighty mountains and the fantastic view along the valley, there are ideal conditions here for the cultivation of true premium wine. Every single time, the visitors of the estate are impressed by the sight which does constitute a part of the charm of Vrede en Lust. Additionally, many of the wines tell their own, little story, such as the Jess Rosé which is a grand, fresh rosé wine. It is named after the youngest daughter of the owner, Jessica Lee.

Vrede en Lust with fantastic Hospitality

Visitors of the yard regularly rave about the friendly, even cordial hospitality at Vrede en Lust. No matter whether in the Tasting Room, in the estate-own restaurant or the accommodations - there is a friendly atmosphere everywhere. A great importance is attached to the aspect that a visit alone should be worth it and be remembered for a long time, besides the grand wines. With this combination of excellent premium wines, the breathtaking view and the high level of hospitality, Vrede en Lust manages to arouse emotions and happy memories in its guests and gourmets. There is no better testimony.
