The Wine in Detail

The Warwick Trilogy flows with an intense, ruby red colour into the gourmet’s glass. Wonderful fruity aromas of blackcurrants and blueberries fill the air. An elegant hint of spice joins the fruity impression that is confirmed at the palate. Silky tannins adorn the tongue; the full body proves the elegance of the bouquet.

Goes with …

With its expressive character, the Warwick Trilogy tastes excellent in combination with game. This red delicacy can also impress the tongue in interplay with veal or intense stews. Gourmets also serve this cuvee with delicious desserts with dark chocolate.

Grape Variety

The Warwick Trilogy is constituted by the three grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. The first has the largest part in this cuvee and delivers the well-known aromas of blackcurrants. This variety stands for full-bodied, elegant, storable red wines with a perfect expressiveness. Cabernet Franc is related to Cabernet Sauvignon and therefore harmoniously complements the cuvee. The small part of Merlot makes for the silky soft mouthfeel.

The Winery

The estate Warwick has especially high quality soils and can therefore produce high class wines such as the Warwick Trilogy. The winemaker especially has plenty of experience with the Cabernet Sauvignon grape. This variety has been growing on the wine slopes since the sixties and has a great quality.

Storage

After the harvest, the Warwick Trilogy matured in mainly new and some old French barriques for twenty-six months. For this reason, the red wine features an enormous potential and can survive many, many years in the cellar during which it will reveal its full character. Gourmets also enjoy the delicious cuvee right away.
