The Wine in Detail
The Tokara Cabernet Sauvignon presents itself with an intensive garnet red in the glass. Notes of blueberries, blackcurrants and cocoa rise into the gourmet’s nose. This impression continues on the palate. Here, aromas of sweet berries, dark chocolate and spices can be detected. The finish of the Tokara Cabernet Sauvignon is dry and textured.

Goes with …
The Tokara Cabernet Sauvignon is a wonderful companion to hearty meat dishes such as veal with bacon and green beans. Mature cheese platters and baguette will also be even more delicious with this red bottle.

Grape Variety
The Tokara Cabernet Sauvignon is a poignant cuvee from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Merlot. Cabernet Sauvignon constitutes the largest part and is responsible for the aromas of herbs, blackcurrants and spices. Together with the other grape varieties, this vine creates a harmonious cuvee with a unique character.

The Winery
Several farms in the popular South African viniculture regions Stellenbosch, Elgin and Hemel-en-Aarde Valley belong to the winery Tokara. Through multiple locations, the winery succeeds in providing the perfect conditions for each and every grape variety. State-of-the-art cellar techniques in interplay with lots of experience create true premium wines such as the Tokara Cabernet Sauvignon year after year.

Storage
The Tokara Cabernet Sauvignon matured in French oak for 18 months. This way it gained a high ageing potential and should therefore spend some years in the cellar in order to develop its full character. Yet it is also absolutely wonderful when opened right away.
