The first has the largest part in this cuvee and makes for the wonderfully powerful body as well as the taste of dark berries. The small part of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot perfectly complements the two varieties and harmoniously rounds off the red wine. The WineryThe winery Meerlust is situated close to the famous Stellenbosch region and benefits from its long tradition in wine production when creating premium products such as the Meerlust Rubicon. The Mediterranean climate also contributes to the high quality of their products.StorageAfter the harvest, the Meerlust Rubicon spent 20 months in new and older oak barrels from France. Through the development in oak barrels, the cuvee received a high development potential and can therefore spend many years in the cellar during which it can intensify its great fruit aromas.
