The Anwilka Petit Frère has an open and fresh bouquet with numerous aromas of dark fruits up to roasted spices. Medium heavy up to full-bodied on the palate, this red blend features supple tannins and a lingering finish; this makes it accessible and simply made for relaxing!

The Anwilka Petit Frère goes well with delicious meals with venison or dove. In interplay with pork or dishes with strong herbs, this wine from South Africa is also highly recommended.

Grape Variety
The Anwilka Petit Frère is a cuvee of the grape varieties Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The first dominates the red wine and delivers the ruby red colour as well as the well-known spicy aromas of the red wine. Cabernet Sauvignon makes for the fruit nuances. The small part Petit Verdot harmoniously rounds off the delicious cuvee.

The Winery
The estate Anwilka has created a cuvee of a very high quality with the Anwilka Petit Frère. It highlights the best features of its grape varieties and meets the high expectations for the yard’s wines. The winery is located in the famous vinicultural region Stellenbosch and benefits from the maritime climate. It is part of Klein Constantia since 2009.

Storage
After the harvest, the red wine matured in French oak for some time. Gourmets highly enjoy the wonderful Anwilka Petit Frère right away. It can nevertheless spend some years in the cellar and will intensify its fruity character during that time.
