The Wine in Detail
The Klein Constantia Anwilka flows with a beautiful and intense ruby red colour into the gourmet’s glass. The fresh and vivid aromas of blackcurrants and dark cherries fill the air. On the palate, this red blend is full-bodied, elegant and balanced with a complex structure that peaks in a lingering finish.

Goes with …
Gourmets will mostly enjoy the Klein Constantia Anwilka in combination with stews or pork. The interplay with black olives or game such as venison or dove is also highly recommended.

Grape Variety
The Klein Constantia Anwilka is a cuvee made of the grape varieties Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The first stands for intense, storable and spicy red wine with powerful aromas of black fruits and spicy pepper. Cabernet Sauvignon on the other hand delivers elegant red wines with a perfected expressiveness. Nuances of blackcurrants, mint and green pepper are typical for this variety that is popular worldwide. A small part of Petit Verdot rounds off this blend.

The Winery
The winery Klein Constantia is located in the famous vinicultural region Stellenbosch and confirms the high quality of the products of this region with the Klein Constantia Anwilka. The winery Anwilka is part of  Klein Constantia since 2009, but still operates on its own. The maritime climate of the False Bay makes for enough cooling during the hot summer so that the grapes can ripen gently and develop an intense taste.

Storage
Gourmets can enjoy the Anwilka right away during a delicious meal with friends. The wine from South Africa can also be stored in the cellar for some years and will keep its intense taste there. After the harvest, the Anwilka matured in new and old barrels of French oak for a total of 15 months.
