Grape Variety
The Ken Forrester The Gypsy consists of the three grape varieties Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Mostly, this cuvee is made of Grenache. This variety is responsible for fruity red wines that have gentle tannins. Syrah delivers poignant yet fruity wines that feature a pleasant residual sweetness. Mourvèdre is often used for high class cuvees, such as the Ken Forrester The Gypsy, and makes for dark and powerful red delicacies.

The Winery

The Ken Forrester The Gypsy originates from the estate Ken Forrester. The winery is located on the slopes of the Helderberg from which one has a picturesque view of the surrounding wineries. The estate is not only known for its exceptional wines – a restaurant which offers excellent cuisine also belongs to the winery.

Storage
The winemakers developed the Ken Forrester The Gypsy in new French oak which gave the wine its nice oak aromas. Through its grape varieties, the red wine received a high storage potential and can spend many years in the cellar. Yet even right away, the noble bottle is a true pleasure – simply let it breathe in the decanter for a while.
