The Winery Ken Forrester
The winery Ken Forrester is located on the picturesque hills of the Helderberg in the famous wine region Stellenbosch and covers more than 40 hectares on which noble grapes such as Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinotage as well as other elite vines grow. In the cosy Tasting Room, visitors can enjoy the breathtaking view of the Helderberg together with a fine glass of wine and a mature piece of cheese.
In close proximity to the winery there is the 96 Winery Road restaurant. It belongs to the brother of Ken Forrester. There, guests can try typical South African dishes together with the selected wines from the winery and have all their culinary wishes fulfilled.
The three Ranges of the Estate
The three different ranges each offer premium wines at always fair prices in their category. The Petit Range stands for wines with an especially fruity character which gourmets can enjoy at almost every occasion and as everyday-drinking wine. The Ken Forrester Range also offers high quality in interplay with an exceptional complexity whilst simultaneously being very elegant. Finally there is the Icon Range that includes wines of an exceptional quality. Especially the FMC, Forrester Meinert Chenin, is the showpiece of the winery, which is not for nothing called the ‘Home of Chenin’. This exceptional white wine bears its name due to the owner of the winery, the winemaker Martin Meinert and the vine from which it was made. Yet also the wines from other grape are always on a high level and impress with the typically South African fruit character.
